Useful for encouraging proper latch

I am a breast and bottle feeding mother and I noticed that my baby had developed a shallow latch due to the design of his pacifier and bottle nipple. I have noticed improvements in his latch with switching his bottle nipples and using this pacifier, as they encourage the appropriate latch for breastfeeding.

Difficult for Baby to Keep in Mouth

I purchased this because some said it was the only pacifier that their baby would keep in their mouth and some made it sound like it could help improve latch. Basically, this pacifier only stays in when there's suction on it. We didn't use it since we can't constantly hold a pacifier in. Now, it's in my 8mo's toy box and he occasionally plays with it--chewing on the sides and sucking on it (he has to hold it in place with his hand or it will fall out). But for us it wouldn't work as a proper soothing pacifier.
